What you’ll need

Requirement Minimum Notes
WordPress 6.0 Your website software.
Elementor Latest Required. FormFlow builds on Elementor.
Elementor Pro 3.18+ Required for the form‑field features, because the Elementor Form widget is part of Elementor Pro.
PHP 7.4 Most modern hosts already meet this.

Important: FormFlow’s general features work with Elementor, but the advanced form fields and form logic attach to the Elementor Forms widget, which comes with Elementor Pro. If Elementor (or the required version) isn’t active, FormFlow shows a friendly notice.

How to install it

Step 1 — Get the plugin ZIP

Download the FormFlow ZIP (for example, formflow-for-elementor.zip). Keep it handy and don’t unzip it — WordPress needs the ZIP.

Step 2 — Upload it to WordPress

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin.
  2. Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin.
  3. Click Choose File, select the ZIP, then Install Now.

Step 3 — Activate

When the upload finishes, click Activate Plugin. FormFlow sets itself up automatically.

Step 4 — Confirm it’s working

Look for the FormFlow menu in your WordPress admin. Open it — you’ll see the Features dashboard with the FormFlow banner at the top.

What happens right after activation

  • A FormFlow admin area appears with tabs: Features, PDF Summary, Integrations, Analytics, Security, and License.
  • The plugin starts on the Starter (Free) plan. Free fields and features are ready to use.
  • To unlock Pro/Agency features, go to the License tab and activate your key — see License Activation.
  • Open Elementor and edit a page with a Form widget to see FormFlow’s fields and options.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Install Elementor (and Elementor Pro) first. The form‑field features need the Elementor Forms widget from Pro.

  • Test on staging if you run a live site. Trying new plugins on a copy first is the safest habit.

  • Keep automatic updates on. FormFlow updates itself so you always have the latest fixes.

  • Enable only the features you need. The Features tab lets you toggle features on/off to keep forms lean.

  • Back up before installing on a production site.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need Elementor?

Yes. FormFlow extends Elementor and won’t run without it.

Do I need Elementor Pro?

For the advanced form fields and form logic, yes — those attach to the Elementor Forms widget, which is part of Elementor Pro. General styling features can work with Elementor Free.

Does it work with any theme?

Yes, with any properly built theme, since forms are built and displayed through Elementor.

Will installing it change my existing forms?

No. Installing only makes FormFlow’s fields and features available. Your existing forms are untouched until you add FormFlow fields or enable features.

Can I use it for free?

Yes. The Starter (Free) plan includes several fields and features. Pro and Agency unlock more — see Free vs Pro vs Agency.

How do I update later?

Updates arrive automatically like any WordPress plugin; you’ll see an update notice on the Plugins page.

The plugin shows a notice about Elementor — what does it mean?

It’s reminding you that Elementor (and, for form fields, Elementor Pro at the required version) needs to be active.
