What this does

These settings define how your enhanced checkout looks and reads by default across the store. For per‑page design, use the Elementor Checkout Widget; this page is the store‑wide baseline. See the concept overview in Checkout Customization.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Pick a focused layout (single‑column or summary‑left) for the best subscription conversion.

  • Fill in the trust texts. Security, guarantee, and support lines reassure buyers at the payment step.

  • Export once you’re happy so you can replicate the exact checkout on other sites.

  • Leave Developer mode off in production — it’s only for troubleshooting.

  • Test on mobile. Confirm the chosen layout looks great on phones.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this tab available on the Free plan?

No — checkout enhancements and these settings are Pro. On Free, the standard WooCommerce checkout is used.

How is this different from the Elementor Checkout widget?

This sets store‑wide defaults; the widget applies design on a specific page. Use whichever fits your workflow.

What does Developer mode do?

It logs the checkout configuration to the debug log to help diagnose issues. Keep it off normally.

Can I move these settings to another store?

Yes — use the Import/Export JSON.

Will enabling enhancements change how payments work?

No — payments still run through your WooCommerce gateways; only the presentation changes.

Which layout converts best?

It varies, but focused single‑column/summary‑left layouts usually perform well for subscriptions. Test with your audience.
