What this does

The [subscriptionflow_login] shortcode renders a clean login (and registration) form on any page. Combined with the dashboard, it gives customers a smooth “sign in → manage subscription” journey that matches your site’s design.

Why it exists: the standard wp-login.php screen feels like the WordPress backend. A front‑end login keeps customers on your branded site.

How to add it

Step 1 — Create a login page

Go to Pages → Add New, title it “Login”, and add:

[subscriptionflow_login]

Publish it.

Step 2 — Point customers to it

Link the login page in your menu, or set it as the redirect target so logged‑out visitors are guided there (see below).

Redirecting the WooCommerce My Account page

With Pro, you can send logged‑out visitors away from the default WooCommerce My Account page to your SubscriptionFlow login page instead.

  1. Go to SubscriptionFlow → Settings → Dashboard.
  2. Enable Redirect logged‑out visitors and choose your login page (or enter a URL).
  3. Save.

The lost‑password and reset‑password links keep working — only the main My Account page is redirected. See Dashboard Settings.

Extra protection at login

On Pro, you can add security layers to the login/registration flow:

  • Two‑factor authentication (2FA): after entering the right password, the customer confirms a one‑time code (by email, or SMS on higher plans). See Two‑Factor Authentication.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: a privacy‑friendly bot check on the login and registration forms. See Cloudflare Turnstile.

These are optional and configured under SubscriptionFlow → Settings → Security.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Give login its own page. A dedicated [subscriptionflow_login] page is cleaner than mixing login into the dashboard.

  • Redirect My Account (Pro) so customers always land on your branded login instead of the WordPress screen.

  • Turn on Turnstile (Pro) if you get spam registrations — it stops bots without annoying real customers.

  • Consider 2FA (Pro) for stores handling valuable subscriptions or sensitive accounts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do customers still use the WordPress login?

They don’t have to. The [subscriptionflow_login] form handles sign‑in on your site; with Pro you can redirect the WooCommerce My Account page to it.

Can new customers register here?

Yes — the form supports registration (subject to your WooCommerce/registration settings).

Is two‑factor authentication required?

No, it’s optional and a Pro feature. Enable it only if you want the extra security.

Will redirecting My Account break password resets?

No. Lost‑password and reset links continue to work; only the main My Account page is redirected.

Does the login form work with any theme?

Yes — it’s a shortcode and inherits your theme styling.

What stops bots from spamming registrations?

Enable Cloudflare Turnstile (Pro) on the login/registration forms.
