Dashboard Settings

The Dashboard settings tab controls how logged-out visitors reach your customer dashboard — and reminds you of the shortcodes for placing it.

Where to find it: SubscriptionFlow → Settings → Dashboard.

What this does

It lets you send visitors who aren’t logged in away from the default WooCommerce My Account page to your own branded SubscriptionFlow login page — so customers always sign in on a page you control.

Why it exists: the default My Account login is plain. Redirecting it keeps customers on your styled login/dashboard experience.

The settings

Setting What it does
Redirect logged‑out visitors When on, visitors who aren’t signed in are redirected away from WooCommerce’s My Account page.
Redirect to page Choose the page that holds your SubscriptionFlow Login widget/shortcode.
Or redirect to URL Use a custom URL when no page is selected. Falls back to the WordPress login if both are empty.

The lost‑password and reset‑password links keep working — only the main My Account page is redirected.

Below the settings, you’ll always find the shortcodes to place the dashboard and login:

[subscriptionflow_dashboard] [subscriptionflow_login]

How to set it up

  1. Create your login page with [subscriptionflow_login] (see Login & Registration).
  2. Go to Settings → Dashboard.
  3. Enable Redirect logged‑out visitors and pick that login page (or enter a URL).
  4. Save Dashboard Settings.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Point the redirect at a real login page that contains the login shortcode/widget — not a blank page.

  • Leave password resets alone. The redirect intentionally doesn’t touch reset links, so customers can still recover access.

  • Test while logged out. Visit My Account in an incognito window to confirm the redirect works.

  • Even on Free, use the shortcodes shown here to place the dashboard and login pages.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this tab available on the Free plan?

The settings are Pro. However, the shortcode reference is shown even on Free so you can always place the dashboard and login.

Will redirecting break password resets?

No — only the main My Account page is redirected; reset and lost‑password links keep working.

What if I don’t pick a page or URL?

It falls back to the standard WordPress login page.

Can I use this without a login page?

You should create one (with [subscriptionflow_login]) so redirected visitors have somewhere branded to sign in.

Does this affect logged‑in customers?

No — it only redirects visitors who aren’t signed in.

Where do customers go after logging in?

To your dashboard page. Link it in your menu for easy access.
